What are your favorite things to play? Sometimes, we are having so much fun that it may be hard to switch activities. But when we do, we find out the next activity is fun too!

Mia and Jack Play At School
Today, Mia feels very happy because she is going to play with her friend Jack.
In the morning, Mia puts on her favorite pink shoes. She knows that pink shoes are perfect for a day full of play, so she runs to the playground, excited about the day ahead.
When Mia arrives, she sees her friend Jack. Jack has a big ball. "Do you want to play ball with me?" asks Jack. Mia nods and smiles. They play catch and throw the ball back and forth. They laugh and have a lot of fun.
After playing ball, Mia and Jack see their teacher, Mrs. Lee, setting up paints and brushes. "Let's go play with paint!" Mia exclaims. They put on their aprons and started to play with colors. They use paint to make bright, colorful pictures. Mia paints a sun. Jack paints a big green tree.
Mrs. Lee tells them it is time to go play on the swing. “Okay,” both Mia and Jack say together as they bolt out toward the playground. Mia feels like she is flying as she goes back and forth. "Whee! This is so much fun!" she shouts.
When they hear the bell, Mia and Jack go back inside. The teacher says, "It is time to play dress-up." Mia thinks for a moment and then says, "I want to be a pirate.” Jack dresses as an astronaut. They create wonderful stories and play make-believe.
Mia has had a day full of play. As she waits for her mom to pick her up, she thinks about all the fun she had. "I love to play," Mia says with a smile.
She tells her mom about all the things she got to play today. “Mrs. Lee says it makes it more fun when we move to the next activity quickly, so we get more time to enjoy everything,” Mia shares.
“When I don’t want to stop playing something, I tell myself that I will get to play it again another time. That way, I don’t miss out on the next fun thing Mrs. Lee has for us,”Mia says.
Mia cannot wait to play some more tomorrow.
