Playright is a pediatric-focused occupational therapy clinic located in Huntersville, NC operated by Kimberley Arnett-DeSimone, a career pediatric occupational therapist, and her husband, Sandy DeSimone, a long-time techie and clinic manager.

Kimberley has enjoyed a meaningful journey in pediatric therapy for over 35 years. Her playful career began when she was hired at the child services department for the state of Wisconsin, where her responsibilities consisted primarily of evaluating and treating individuals with special needs. She then moved to California and became a senior therapist within a pediatric private clinic in Irvine, California. Here, she successfully managed a substantial caseload, fostering pivotal connections with families and schools for 17 years.

In 2008, she saw the need to establish her own private occupational therapy practice in Southern California, where she could encourage more creative energy in each treatment session. Within this innovative space, she modeled as close to a Disney attraction as was financially realistic; she captured the imagination of each child in session as they worked through their unique set of challenges.

Kimberley’s career trajectory has moved to North Carolina and a smaller sensory-based space to better help children manage anxiety and stress.
